Meatballs with Tomato Sauce

Meatballs

• 40 g bread, fresh or stale, cut in pieces
• 80 g milk
• 6 - 12 sprigs fresh flat-leaf parsley, leaves only
• 1 garlic clove (optional)
• 400 g beef mince, broken in pieces
• 2 medium eggs
• ½ tsp fine sea salt
• 1 pinch ground black pepper
• oil, for greasing

Tomato Sauce

• 1 garlic clove
• 50 - 80 g onions, quartered
• 20 g extra virgin olive oil
• 600 g tinned chopped tomatoes
• 1 tsp fine sea salt
• 1 pinch ground black pepper
